Lit the way that fits your building
Channel letters aren’t one thing — the lighting style changes the whole look.
Front-lit
Classic illuminated faces — bright, bold, and readable from the road.
Halo-lit (reverse)
Light glows behind the letters for an upscale, modern halo effect.
Combination
Front and back lighting together for maximum day-and-night impact.
Why channel letters win the storefront
They’re what national brands use — for good reason.
- Seen day and night. Energy-efficient LEDs keep your name lit and working after closing time.
- Premium and durable. Individually fabricated aluminum and acrylic built for Virginia weather.
- Permits handled. Channel letters almost always need a permit; we do the drawings and pull it for you.
Common questions
What are channel letters?
Individually fabricated, three-dimensional letters (usually aluminum and acrylic) mounted to your building and typically internally lit with LEDs. They’re the standard for storefront and building identification.
What’s the difference between front-lit and halo-lit?
Front-lit letters glow through their faces; halo-lit (reverse) letters are lit from behind for a glow around each letter on the wall. Many businesses combine both.
Do channel letters need a permit?
Almost always, yes. We handle the drawings and permitting and don’t begin fabrication until the permit is secured.
Are they energy-efficient?
Yes — modern channel letters use long-life, low-draw LEDs, so keeping your sign lit overnight costs very little.
Can you install letters on any building?
In most cases, yes. We assess the wall (brick, EIFS, metal) and use the right mounting and, where needed, a raceway or backer for a clean, secure install.
